Terms of Service

Suki Scan (the "app") is operated by Doanything AI (ABN 15 938 400 909), a business based in Australia ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Doanything AI.

Agreement and Legal Responsibility

By downloading, installing or using the app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by all of these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.

You accept full legal responsibility and culpability for your use of the app, including any knowing or intentional use of the app for purposes it is not intended for, and for any sharing, distribution or onward use of content you process through the app. The app is provided strictly for lawful, personal, non-commercial use. Any use that is unlawful, infringing, commercial, or otherwise outside the intended personal-use scope is a breach of these Terms and is solely your responsibility.

What the App Does

Suki Scan translates text in images between 29 supported languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and a range of European, South-East Asian and other world languages. The list of supported languages may change from time to time. You provide your own images — the app does not host, distribute or provide access to any content.

Eligibility

You must be at least the age required by the app's App Store age rating in your jurisdiction, and old enough to form a binding contract under the law applicable to you. If you are a minor, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the app.

Your Responsibilities

• You must own or have the legal right to use any images you translate.
• You must not use the app to infringe on copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
• You must not redistribute translated content in a way that infringes on the original creator's rights.
• You must not use the app for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive or commercial purpose.
• You are solely responsible for how you use the translations produced by the app.

Content Disclaimer

The app does not host, store or distribute any copyrighted content. All images are provided by the user from their own device. The app is a translation tool, not a content platform.

Subscriptions and Credits

• New users receive a limited number of free translation credits.
• Additional translations require an auto-renewing weekly subscription, sold and managed exclusively through the Apple App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews for the same period and at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free-trial period (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable and have no cash value.

Abuse, Abnormal Activity and Subscription Cancellation

We actively monitor for abuse, fraud and abnormal activity. If we detect, suspect or are notified of any abuse of the app or its translation services — including but not limited to automated or scripted use, credential or device sharing, reselling of translations, attempts to circumvent rate limits or credit systems, processing of unlawful or infringing content, or any pattern of usage we reasonably consider abnormal — we reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend or terminate your access, cancel any active subscription, revoke credits and/or refuse future service. Where a subscription is cancelled due to abuse or abnormal activity, you will not be entitled to a refund for the remainder of the billing period, to the extent permitted by law.

Translation Accuracy

Translations are generated by third-party machine-translation and AI services. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or quality of any translation. Translations must not be relied upon for critical, medical, legal, financial or professional purposes.

Service Availability

The app depends on third-party translation services and network connectivity. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Previously translated images remain available offline in your local library.

Intellectual Property Complaints

If you believe content processed through the app infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@doanythingai.com with: (a) identification of the work claimed to be infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing use; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised; and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder. We will review genuine complaints and take appropriate action, which may include terminating access for repeat infringers.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the problem rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Limitation of Liability

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law section above and any other non-excludable rights you may have at law:

• The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doanything AI, its directors, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, inaccurate translations or service interruptions, arising from or in connection with your use of the app.
• Where our liability cannot lawfully be excluded but can be limited, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the app and these Terms is limited, at our option, to: (a) the resupply of the services; or (b) the amount you have paid us for the app in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject always to the Australian Consumer Law section above, you indemnify and hold harmless Doanything AI, its directors, officers, employees and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with:

• any image, text or other content you submit to, or process through, the app;
• your breach of these Terms;
• your infringement of any third party's intellectual property, privacy or other rights; and
• your violation of any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the app.

This indemnity does not apply to the extent that the relevant claim, liability, loss, damage, cost or expense is caused or contributed to by our negligence, wilful misconduct or breach of these Terms, or to any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

Intellectual Property in the App

The app, its design, branding, code and content are the intellectual property of Doanything AI or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for lawful, personal, non-commercial translation purposes only. All other rights are reserved.

Apple App Store — Additional Terms

The following terms apply to your use of the app on Apple devices and prevail over any conflicting provisions in these Terms to the extent required by Apple:

• These Terms are concluded between you and Doanything AI only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the app.
• In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
• Doanything AI, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and/or use of the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual property claims.
• You represent and warrant that: (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and Doanything AI submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts competent to hear appeals from them. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from relying on mandatory protections available to them under the law of their place of residence.
